Evan Wick (165) and Ryan Christensen (174) are each ranked 15th at their respective weight classes, while Johnny Jimenez (125) and Evan Wick (165) both debut at No.18.

Andrew Crone (157) and Cole Martin (141) are No.19 nationally at their weights.

In other rankings news, Wisconsin begins the year as the No.16 team in the nation, according to the first NWCA/USA Today poll.

High school teams selected for pre-match dual

UW head coach Barry Davis announced that Stoughton and Milton will clash in a Badger Conference dual prior to Wisconsin’s match against Maryland on Dec. 7.

The news came as part of the weekly Tuesdays with Barry newsletter. Several weeks ago, Davis mentioned in his newsletter that he would like to give a pair of prep squads this opportunity, so long as any arrangements complied with NCAA rules. The guidelines dictated that UW had to select the first two schools who responded to its request for participants.

Stoughton finished second in Division 1 at WIAA Team State a year ago. Milton features a pair of returning state qualifiers, including senior Jerry Lipke who placed sixth in Division 1 at 195 last season.
